The Family Engagement Team supports youth and young adults ages 12-24 who are at risk of or currently experiencing homelessness, fleeing domestic violence, or escaping human trafficking. Our mission is to prevent homelessness, promote well-being and build strong, lasting connections to community and family. They find housing for 18+ year-olds. Under 18, they work with family member, friend, or friendly adult. 16-year-olds and under they work with Child Protective Services (CPS).
The FET program offers a range of Homeless Outreach Services:
• For individuals with income: If an individual has an income, the program will assist them in finding housing and provide support for six months.
• For individuals with no income (ages 18-25) and are homeless: will be referred to Compass House.
• For individuals 18 and over with serious mental health diagnoses: The SPOA program is available for individuals aged 18 and older who have a serious mental health diagnosis and require long-term financial assistance. This program links them to subsidiary housing.
• Internal BestSelf Services: The FET program also links individuals to various internal services and programs within BestSelf, as well as case management.
