IN A MOMENT OF CRISIS, WE ARE HERE TO HELP.
BestResponse is a first-of-its-kind, 24/7 crisis stabilization center in Western New York for children, adolescents, and adults experiencing mental health or substance use crises. BestResponse offers a calm, welcoming, trauma-informed environment where people can receive immediate support. Individuals can walk in at any time or be brought in for care. No appointment is needed.
YOU DON’T HAVE TO FACE THIS ALONE.
Adults may seek support for: feeling overwhelmed, substance use concerns, recovery support, anxiety or depression, suicidal thoughts, grief or trauma, major life changes, or stress and burnout related to work. Children and adolescents may come to BestResponse for support with: big emotions, difficulties at school, family stress or anxiety, experiences with violence, behavioral challenges, or substance use concerns. You do not need to define your crisis to receive help.
SHORT-TERM, SUPPORTIVE CARE:
Individuals may receive care for up to 23 hours 59 minutes in a calm environment focused on stabilization, comfort, and connection. 162 people have been served since January 2026.
CONNECTED CARE BEYOND THE VISIT:
BestResponse is a voluntary, unlocked facility designed to promote choice and continuity of care.
DEVELOPED WITH OUR COMMUNITY:
BestResponse was built in partnership with our county collaborators to ensure services reflect the needs of the communities we serve.
BESTRESPONSE SERVICES
- Voluntary, emotional and behavioral support
- Medication support as clinically appropriate
- Support for mild to moderate withdrawal or intoxication
- Psychosocial assessments
Before discharge, our teams work with each individual to identify next steps and coordinate follow-up support, including connections to BestSelf’s mental health and substance use services whenever possible.
