November 2025 Calendar

Dear BestSelf Family and Community Partners,
As we enter this season of reflection and gratitude, our hearts are overflowing with appreciation for each of you; the partners, peers, families, advocates, and all who serve and support our participants and for making recovery and hope a living reality every single day. Together, we’ve shown what it means to lead with compassion, to hold space for one another’s stories, and to build bridges of healing across every pathway of recovery. Each of you plays a vital role in helping individuals and families find strength, wellness, and belonging.
November is a month rich in meaning. It’s Native American Heritage Month, a time to honor the wisdom, traditions, and resilience of Indigenous peoples whose deep spiritual connection to community and the earth continues to guide us toward balance, gratitude, and respect for all creation. We also pause to recognize Veterans Day on November 11, honoring the courage, sacrifice, and service of our nation’s heroes including those in recovery who continue to show strength and resilience in their healing journeys. We see you; we honor you, and we thank you for your service.
This month also reminds us that community is at the heart of everything we do. From Transgender Day of Remembrance on November 20, where we honor the lives, courage, and resilience of our transgender community members, to International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day on November 22, when we hold space for those healing from unimaginable pain; we are reminded that compassion, visibility, and unity save lives. 💜
As we prepare for our 4th Annual Thanksgiving Dinner on Wednesday, November 26 from 12–3pm at 69 Linwood Ave, we invite you to join us in celebrating recovery, family, and community. This gathering has become more than a tradition; it’s an act of love and service, a moment where we come together to nourish not only the body but also the heart. For many, this may be the only warm meal or sense of connection they’ll have this holiday season, and we are honored to serve with love, dignity, and gratitude. The meal, lovingly prepared by TLC_Catering, is our way of saying thank you to our participants and recovery community for showing up, for believing in the power of peer support, and for allowing us to walk beside you on this journey of hope and healing.
May this Thanksgiving remind us to pause, breathe, and appreciate the gifts of connection, healing, and grace. Whether you’re a peer, partner, or friend of the Recovery Community, please know that you are valued, seen, and deeply appreciated!
With love, gratitude, and solidarity,
The Recovery Community Outreach Center
