Who we are:
Individuals recovering from a mental illness or substance use disorder often have a goal of finding meaningful employment. BestSelf’s Vocational Services provides assistance for those who are interested in obtaining and maintaining employment in the community, educational linkage, as well as non-paid volunteer opportunities.
What we do:
Employment Services:
• Assessments to identify skills, abilities, interests and limitations
• Resume and cover letter development
• Reference assistance
• Interview preparation
• Benefits advisement
• Advocacy for workplace accommodations
Educational Support Services:
• Linkage to High School Equivalency testing
• Guidance with educational financial aid support
• Workforce training program research
• College/University exploration
• English as a 2nd language classes information
Volunteer Work:
